DocuShare CPX is a new system introduced in 2006. It provides all of the features of DocuShare 5.0 and adds new technology and capabilities that enable a new class of applications to improve productivity and streamline work processes.

Content-centric Collaboration: DocuShare CPX provides tools for Blogs and wikis within DocuShare CPX. They can be managed so approvals, permissions, and auditing are consistent with corporate content management policies. Web conferencing is now supported through a partnership with WebEx Communications, the on-demand collaboration leader. An online web conference can be launched from within DocuShare CPX to have a private, real-time meeting to discuss, for example, financial documents that are about to be released to the public. The email agent integrated with DocuShare CPX further supports business process management by allowing process managers to use emails to initiate complex business or workflow processes.

Content Process Automation: Managers can easily configure rules and set specific actions that will be performed on new or existing content. As a result, organizations can quickly automate complex procedures such as new employee processing, loan application submissions, and compliance reporting.

Content Assimilation and Reuse: Together with NASA Ames Research Center, Xerox developed a unique capability known as the "Knowledge Network“. With the Knowledge Network, users can organize and manage semi-structured data, such as business forms or templates, by leveraging existing user interfaces in commonly-used applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.

Advanced Content and Records Management: Department of Defense-certified records management capabilities are included with DocuShare CPX, enabling users to easily and accurately classify and declare documents as records to comply with regulatory standards such as Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA.
